Aboto (Valiant Entertainment)

Aboto is created by Father as the fifth "Rai" and spirit guardian to protect New Japan. He is a ruthless killing machine who is meant to kill those who oppose Father. After Sai's tenure as the sixth Rai, Aboto becomes the seventh Rai again.

History[]

In the mid-36th Century Aboto succeeds Sai as the new Rai, however, it is also revealed that he had actually been Sai's predecessor before Father abandoned him to Earth because of his rather vicious behavior and lack of compassion. When he is ordered to come back to New Japan and end Sai he cannot finish the job as Sai reminds him of his mother. They both become renegades and hide in a remote cabin in a defunct construction sector. Through Sai and his feelings towards her Aboto is finally capable of showing compassion and love. Eventually Father finds them and confronts Aboto. He sacrifices himself to save Sai and his unborn child but Father cuts them off and they drift towards Earth. Neither Aboto nor Father manages to kill the other and Aboto gets away. Several hundred years later, Rai X finds Aboto in his exile and confronts him once again. Aboto asks Rai "do you really know where you came from?" and then lets himself be killed by Rai believing that everything he cared about was taken away from him and his job is done.
