In Valiant Comics, his Great Royal Wife Nefertiti had a love affair with Ivar Anni-Padda.
In Valiant Entertainment, Akhenaten was murdered by his closest advisers, who would go on to form the the secret religious order known as "The Sect." He is also responsible for commissioning the Wheel of Aten, an important sacred artifact to the Sect. One of his personal friends was the immortal Aram Anni-Padda, who would go on to become the Sect's greatest enemy.
