Ala Ana was an alien priestess, and her world's Geomancer--the servant and avatar of her planet's very lifeforce. When the intergalactic empire called Novus Romanus colonized her homeworld, Ala was forced to serve as the living power source of the ship Theodosius. She was freed by the Romanus's old enemy, Aric of Dacia, and she in turn helped him escape their attack, giving all her energy to create a miniature star in the heart of Novus Romanus airspace.

- Geomancer: As a Geomancer, Ala likely shares much of the abilities that Earth's Geomancers do, but the exact extent is unknown.
- Energy Manipulation and Creation: While onboard the Theodosius, Ala was forced to use her ability to manipulate electromagnetic energy in the service of the Romanus, making her the ship's living engine. After being freed from this prison, she used those same abilities to project powerful bolts of energy, and even create an entire star from nothing but her own energy--at the cost of her life.
