Alien Books is an international comic book publisher based out of New York City. Beginning in 2023, they partnered with Valiant Entertainment to publish Valiant Universe titles.

Founding[]
Founded in early 2023, Alien Books entered a distribution partnership with the independent company FairSquare Comics,[1] after briefly working with Red 5 Comics. This deal was short-lived, as Alien quickly expanded, and now the company's publishing is independent.[2]
Valiant Partnership[]
In the summer of 2023, they would announce a partnership with Valiant Entertainment to be the new publisher for the Valiant Universe superhero comics and graphic novels, with the goal of increasing the strength of the publishing line. [3] Comics published under Alien Books will feature both the Valiant and Alien logos. [4] The partnership came about as the company's director, Matias Timarchi, previously worked with Valiant through his company Moztros to release Valiant comic books in Spain and Latin America.[2]
Under this new partnership, Valiant Entertainment maintains ownership of the characters, and creative control over the direction of the Valiant Universe, while Alien Books handles funding, printing, and distribution.[2] The first Valiant Universe titles released by Alien Books were Eternal Warrior Classic Omnibus Volume 1 and X-O Manowar Unconquered: Prestige Edition #1 on December 6, 2023, followed shortly after by X-O Manowar Unconquered #4 as their first original release, one week later. Alien's Valiant publications are planned to primarily be plus-sized, prestige-format comics, with an increased cost, yet no ads.[2]
