Introduction[]
Created centuries ago, the Sect's members number in at least the tens of thousands and are in every significant body in the world from government to organized religion. This clandestine faction exists with the sole purpose of destroying Armstrong, whom they believe to be the devil incarnate.
According to the Sect, Armstrong's very existence will eventually create an imbalance "in the great wheel of karma" that will topple the whole of existence. Little is known about the origins of the Sect and its practices. The identities of its founding members and the beginnings of their quest against Armstrong have been lost... until now.
This all-new story written by Jim Shooter and illustrated by Sal Velluto and Bob Almond was commissioned specially for this collection.

Synopsis[]
This article does not have a synopsis recorded yet.
Notes[]
- The story has only been published in Archer & Armstrong: First Impressions thus far. It is the third original material published by Valiant Entertainment after Harbinger: The Beginning and X-O Manowar: Birth and like these two the story is set in VH-1 continuity.
- The eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 C.E. is historically correct and it did destroy the city of Pompeii.
- The alternative ending features Archer on the final page; talking to Armstrong in 1992 when they first meet.
