Ax, often stylized as @x, is a political activist considered one of the world's greatest computer hackers. His mission to fight governmental corruption began after his sister, photo journalist Irene Gonzalez, was killed during a military cover-up. He has been an ally to the Renegades in their battle against the Harbinger Foundation.
