Captain Greer was the captain of The Ottawa, the ship that 1-A served on immediately after he was built.
History[]
Captain Greer was the senior officer on The Ottawa, a military ship that attacked the Martian rebels in the uprising of 3590 A.D. Although she prevailed in the battle, a proton torpedo from the rebels hit The Ottawa and triggered the power surges that lead several robots serving on the ship to become Freewills.
She was attacked by the freewill E-6 shortly after he gained sentience. One of her robot officers, 1-A, had himself become a freewill in the blast and attempted to save her. He destroyed E-6 but was unable to save Captain Greer, who died shortly before The Ottawa exploded.
