Commander Pith was a great military hero of the Vine empire. He was chosen to try on the Shanhara armor, a sacred Vine relic that kills all who are unworthy. He died a painful death. His descendant Dalgan Pith would become an ally of the suit's next wearer, the human X-O Manowar.
