Synopsis[]

Confused by his awakening powers, Pete Stanchek is happy to let the Harbinger Foundation help him master his abilities. When Pete's best friend, Joe, points out that Pete is turning into a bad person, Harbinger founder Toyo Harada has Joe killed. This turns Pete against the Harbinger Foundation, so the order is given that Pete must die! But the assassins learn the hard way that Pete's power is far beyond their imagining!^[1]

This issue was made available in two versions:
- One, an exclusive pink edition (pink cover) that was sent to readers who had redeemed the six mail-away coupons available from Harbinger issues #1-6. The pink version was distributed after the release of Harbinger #6 in March 1992 (cover date June 1992) which contained the final coupon.
- Two, the regular edition (blue cover) that was poly-bagged with the trade paperback, Harbinger: Children of the Eighth Day.
This issue is reprinted in the hardcovers Harbinger: The Beginning (2007) and Valiant Masters: Harbinger: Children of the Eighth Day (2015).
Lump makes an appearance on the cover but does not actually appear in this issue.
