We need to close the book, mother. I need you to let me go. You shouldn't feel guilty for giving me up. You did the right thing... for me and the world. This is where I belong. Someone once said that nobody becomes guilty by fate, and that's what it is, Kris... fate. Everything is where it should be. Goodbye... mother.

Kris is plagued by nightmares about the fate of the baby she gave up in the Unity conflict. Realizing that she must let the child go to pursue his destiny as Magnus, Kris finally is able to get on with the rest of her life.[1]
