Hotwire is a former boyfriend of Ken Clarkson who seeks revenge on Aric after Ken's death. He subjects himself to a battery of painful experiments gaining the ability to discharge electrical currents.
History[]
Hotwire, real name unknown, was the boyfriend of Ken Clarkson. When Clarkson became an ally of the hero X-O Manowar, his boyfriend became increasingly jealous at the amount of attention Clarkson was giving the hero. He became obsessed with the idea that Clarkson wanted, and more importantly deserved, a hero to look up to over his relatively normal boyfriend, so he subjected himself to cruel, but undefined experiments.
The experiments granted him immense, electrical powers, but before he could learn to control them or even get back out into the world, Ken was killed in an incident seemingly caused by the Manowar. Now calling himself "Hotwire", the man became obsessed with revenge, eventually attacking X-O in New York City. Their fight spread throughout the city, with Hotwire attempting to humiliate X-O to ruin his public reputation as a hero, but X-O Manowar eventually gained the upper hand when he used cable wires to overload Hotwire's electrical energy. Hotwire's later activities are unknown.
