Katherine Desmond is the mother of Jane Ngo and former wife of Huang Ngo. She left Galloway and Galloway (and her family) blaming Jane's birth as both an "accident" and "mistake". Then she built her own laboratory, the Homogeny Hope Facility, on the Kwajalein Atoll.
