Kay McHenry was a Geomancer, a human with the ability to communicate directly with the Earth. There have been many Geomancers throughout history, and she was the first of the modern era. Her predecessor was her great grand-uncle Buck McHenry. After her death, Morris Kozol and Project Rising Spirit turned her (body) into the powerful, nanite-fueled creature codenamed Deathmate.
