Magnus, Robot Fighter: Armageddon 4002

Armageddon/Holocaust 4002, also known as the Malev Invasion, is the prelude to the Malev War. During the invasion, a sentient alien entity known as the Malevs or the Malev Empire seeks control over North Am's Mainbrain complex thus being able to control all Earth-Robs. They quickly override the Earth-Robs' main directive to serve humans and protect all human life with the new directive to scan for (human) meat and to kill and recycle it. The Malevs main source of power is the Ectotheric Energy that can also be found in some meat that they store in Ectotheric Pods while all the other meat is killed and recycled.

The initial invasion ends with the fall of Synchron, the City of Freewills and last bastion in North Am, however, the combined force of Magnus and the Freewills isn't enough for the Malevs who's next aim is to seek control over Japan.
