Mahmud is a leader of The Sect, a multi-theosophic covert faction which aim is to destroy Aram Anni-Padda, the immortal Armstrong, whom they believe to be the devil incarnate whose existence creates an imbalance in the great wheel of karma that topples the whole of reality.

History[]

On the evening of April 4th, 1992, Mahmud witnessed as Silvio, the proprietor of the End o’ th’ World bar, a hang-out frequented by Aram Anni-Padda, interviewed Obadiah Archer, the greatest martial artist alive and a Harbinger with uncanny powers of perception, for the position of bouncer on Armstrong’s recommendation. Despite Obadiah’s proficiency with the crossbow, Silvio remained unimpressed by his short stature and lack of musculature and violently cracked a beer bottle on his head before he tossed him out the door.

Mahmud followed Obadiah to a nearby basketball court and saw him beat up three kids who assaulted him after he tried to hustle them. After he witnessed Obadiah’s skill with his own eyes, Mahmud told him that he had heard much about him from his friends in Ladakh, one of the most amazing locales in the world and site of the most remarkable events in history, and that destiny brought them together because he had a job he wishes to hire him to do. Mahmud revealed that there was a great evil loose on the world, perversion incarnate that walked as a man which refusal to die unbalanced the great wheel of Karma by merely existing and, soon, the imbalance would cause the whole of existence to topple and cast the world into chaos.

As they returned to the End of Th' World, Mahmud told Obadiah that his sect had been hunting this Satan for two thousand five hundred and sixty-nine years and trailed the one whose name was never spoken to that very city, where they hoped to trap him in the tavern he frequented. Just then, Silvio came crashing out the front window, and, as Obadiah saw Aram fighting four members of the sect, Mahmud revealed that Aram was the one whose name was never spoken.

While Obadiah pursued Armstrong as he tried to flee, Mahmud and his followers cornered them with a flamethrower to, finally, terminate whom he considered Satan incarnate.[1]
