Mark Edelstein is a radio host from New Orleans, Louisiana, who saves the life of Leland Paige despite being opponents in a political debate. Mark is a liberal gay and Leland is the leader of H.A.T.E.. When Leland is shot at by the crazy Rotwak, Mark tries to stop Rotwak only to be hit by the bullet instead of Leland.
