The Pioneer is a superhero and member of the Red Brigade during the Stalinverse. She is a descendant of the aboriginal race that protects the legendary hammer and axe.
After the end of the Stalinverse, Divinity allowed the Pioneer to become a part of reality.
History[]
The Pioneer was born and raised on the Kuril Islands, the archipelago between Russia and Japan, in the alternate timeline of the Stalinverse. Her home island was home to a massive cathedral carved from a mountain, built over countless generations by the chosen ones worthy to wield sacred and ancient weapons found on their island. The origin of the Hammer and Axe is unknown, and legends vary, but one thing is for sure: they grant the wielder phenomenal strength and skill. That skill, however, was unable to protect the island-dwellers when the Russian army came to conquer the Kuril Islands. Everyone in the Cathedral was killed, except a young woman named the Pioneer, who was worthy of wielding the hammer and axe.
Unable to stop the massacre of her people, the Pioneer was left alone on her island, until Russian leaders came to her. They promised her the names of the soldiers who ordered the massacre, in exchange for serving as their weapon of world domination. She agreed, and a week later the Pioneer singlehandedly forced Japan to surrender to Russia. [1]
Pioneer continued to work with Russia, joining their Red Brigade. She participated in the final battle of the Stalinverse, fighting the world's heroes alongside the rest of the Brigade. When Divinity returned the world to it's normal state, he could not bring himself to remove the Brigade from existence, as he saw them as innocent bystanders manipulated by the Soviets. Pioneer became integrated into the main timeline, where she sought to restore her island home to its former glory, [2] as well as guard a dark secret that dwelled beneath it. [3]
