Notes[]
- This issue's story title is likely named after the Sargasso Sea, the only "sea" that has no land boundaries but is surrounded by four currents forming a large ocean gyre called the North Atlantic Gyre. The southwestern edge of the Sargassa Sea overlaps with the northeastern edge of the Bermuda Triangle.
- The astronaut's spaceship is named after the African-American science fiction writer Octavia E. Butler.
- In the real world, the universe isn't old enough for any blue dwarf stars to have formed yet.
Quotes[]
- Everywhere we look...we are surrounded by ships. All orbiting...is this a blue dwarf star? Huh. Their existence has always only been theoretical...at least on Earth.
- -- Beacon
- Do you speak English? [...] ты говоришь по русски? [...] Uh, wait. Can you just... [...] Slow down! No sprechen Sie "cat", okay?
- -- Tank
- MEWLING SCUM! How DARE you interrupt one branded speaking with another? To make reparation, you shall give me double tribute!
- -- Q'url
- It will bring you nothing but sorrow and frustration, but I have learned long ago that reason is useless on the ignorant.
- -- Q'url
