Widower Q'url was a member of the powerful Widowers, an influential alliance in the Gyre. While demanding tribute from the Yossari, he came into conflict with four new citizens of the vampire-star (Beacon, Tank, Artisan, and Hazard). He fought them, and while their inexperience let him dominate the fight initially, he eventually was defeated and killed.
