Sanguine is a Russian assassin and villain in the Valiant Universe, and a member of the mysterious Shadow Seven.
History[]
The woman who came to be known as Sanguine was born and raised in Chechnya in Russia. When she was 10 years old, her school became a battleground between Chechnyan separatists and the Russian military, and the young girl was one of few survivors. The massacre of both separatists and students by the Russian military led the young woman to become very rebellious, hoping to control her fate. All that came of her actions was a prison sentence in a Moscow jail. Losing all hope, she once again discovered a chance to protect herself when her cell was visited by a mysterious man named Kannon. Kannon told her to find him when she was freed, and so she did, and 6 months later she arrived at a mysterious monastery led by a dead monk. The teachings she found there allowed her to control her own pain, and become extremely flexible. After returning to her homeland, she further modified her body with hormones and surgery, becoming the ultimate weapon.
Now going by the name "Sanguine", she joined Kannon's new organization Weaponeer, as well as the Shadow Seven. Sanguine became one of the most infamous assassins in the world, and an enemy to Ninjak.
