Notes[]

  • Erica Henderson's cover is a homage to the movie poster of the 1981 horror film The Howling.
  • The Pallbearer saying he is "the reckoning" is a direct hint to the final issue of Andy Diggle's run, in which Samedi is warning Jack that the Voodoo Pantheon is upset about humans "binding" with Loa and there would soon be some reckoning. However, the Pallbearer and his Loa-Killers do not look like they would be part of a Voodoo Pantheon.
  • The final panel features a giant Loa looking like a Cthulhu creature. This is the third time this "theme" is used by Valiant Entertainment, following Stephanie Hans' map of the nether realms in the Valiant Universe Handbook 2016 and the Widowers from the most recent Psi-Lords series.
  • The Unknown Comics exclusive covers were made available on August 11, alongside the other exclusives (#1-4) and a convention special for Megacon, Orlando. See Shadowman (Volume 6) #4 for the complete artwork.

Quotes[]

I couldn't spend time with a less dramatic skeleton?
-- Shadowman
I've come to put a stop to the chaos the Loa spread. I'm the whirlwind. I'm the big nasty. I'm the reckoning. But you can call me--the Pallbearer.
-- Pallbearer
I work in shadows, not secrets.
-- Bosou Koblamin
