Synopsis[]
This article does not have a synopsis recorded yet.
Notes[]
- Per the indicia the title is "Solar, Man of the Atom Vol. 2" with no additional issue number and a cover date of "May, 1997".
- This is the first of three so-called "event issues" kicking of the Acclaim version of the Valiant Universe, trying to explain how it has been created by God – Solar (Valiant Comics). The second event issue would be Operation: Stormbreaker – focusing on the new origin of the X-O Armor – followed by another Solar one-shot, Solar, Man of the Atom: Revelations.
- The cover is based on Michelangelo's The Creation of Adam. In the original painting God breathes life into Adam by touching Adam's fingertip. Here, God's arm is colored to be Solar's arm.
- Above the door to the "Forbidden Library" at the Vatican is a plate saying "La Conosc-Enza Corrom-pe" meaning as much as "knowledge corrupts."
Quotes[]
It's everything I want. Everything frightening to the church, to the structure of society, is in there. That's why it was built; to protect civilization from itself, to confiscate and hide the books that would harm it. The history of the world is in there. The real history, the one we're not allowed to know. The secret of the world. I want to read about god's true footprints.
I see atoms. And the things inside atoms. I saw the beginning of the world, Frank. The burning heart of time. I saw it at the atomic level, Frank. Do you understand?
