The Sole Wanderer is a legendary figure in the history of the Vine empire. Before they had a name, his people on the planet Loam were enslaved by a race called the Torment. The Sole Wanderer discovered the divine armor Shanhara growing from the Hara Vine and used it to drive away the Torment. This makes him the earliest known predecessor of the Earth superhero X-O Manowar.
