The Harbinger is a powerful Harbinger that has a wide variety of powers and whose exact identity is kept in mystery for a considerable length of time.
He shows an interest in painting and a strong initial loyalty to Toyo Harada, who sends him against the latest team of Harbinger renegades led by Faith Herbert as well as against the mysterious new superbeing "The Visitor".
He wears initially an all-red costume that hides his face, and later switches to a similar costume in white and bluish purple. During his confrontations with Visitor he learns more about his own past and his goals and perspective change significantly.
