Ultimo (Valiant Entertainment)

Ultimo, or Ultimorte, is a shape-changing member of The United and the Coalition.

History[]

An international criminal with a rapsheet several miles long, the man named Ultimorte was imprisoned within Mexico City. The United States sought extradition, hoping to "study" him for unknown reasons. On the day of the Armor Hunter Incursion, the complex he was locked up in fell on his head when giant robot GIN-GR devastated the area. When he dug himself out of the rubble, Ultimorte found himself changed. Having the ability to absorb radiation and alter his body, Ultimorte found his body mutated heavily. ^[1]

He and a number of other superhumans were gathered together by a clandestine cabal of international heads of state dubbed the Underground Ambassador Liaison. The Liason found the idea of superhero team Unity harboring GIN-GR, the robot that destroyed an entire city, very unsettling. Ultimo along with the rest of "The United" were tasked to coerce the head of Unity, Neville Alcott, to turn over the alien technology. When he refused, Ultimo used his radiation-emitting powers to unleash an explosion at Unity's base. ^[1]
