  • Meghan Hetrick's exclusive variant cover for The 616 Comics is some sort of homage to Bob Layton's cover of X-O Manowar #1 from 1991.
  • Stuart Sayger's exclusive variant cover is very similar to his own variant cover of the first issue. Both covers are Circle Comics exclusives.
  • Ryan Browne's exclusive variant cover for Unknown Comics is a homage to Tales of Suspense #39 from 1963; the first appearance of Iron Man.

Quotes[]

Before tonight, I agreed with you. With all of it. Big blue is dangerous. Reckless. Nobody asked for a super hero. Yada yada. But then a terrorist hit this neighborhood like a ton of bricks. Caught us flatfooted. Never seen anything like it. And it was a flying man who pulled me and my men outta the fire. Saved all our lives when nobody else could've.
-- Police Detective
