The X-X Armor is a weapon created by the intergalactic Novus Romanus empire, as a mimicry of the X-O Manowar Armor worn by Aric of Dacia. Grown from a corrupted version of the sacred Hara Vine, only centurion Thyra Antius was ever able to bond with it without facing death. It is a pale reflection of the Manowar, but it is still very powerful, granting the wearer incredible physical capabilities, the ability to fly, as well as conjure and project energy.
History[]
The Novus Romanus empire learned of the existence of the powerful living weapon called the X-O Manowar Armor through the study of Vine scriptures. Believing themselves to be the successor to the Vine, they sought its power, using all the knowledge they could gather to try and replicate the mysterious Hara Vine that grew the Manowar. The false vine refused to grow properly, however, making faulty weapons that lacked the Manowar's power, and its life. Described as "profane", "toxic", and "dead", these X-X Armors were dangerous, with the potential to killi anyone they bonded to. Very few individuals over the centuries, most notably Romanus slave-turned-soldier Thyra Antius, ever survived the bonding, and even they live on borrowed time, the X-X Armor destroying them from the inside out.
